We have photos in order of John McNeil, the defender of Cape Girardeau, John McClernand, the main adversary for Grant in the west, and John Bowen, probably one of the more capable Confederate officers in the theatre. Two more maps of the campaign for Vicksburg show us the course of action to come. Finally, we have a depiction of the action at Grand Gulf.
